The NFL released the 2009 schedule as promised this evening at six. And while we already knew who the Thanksgiving Game opponent was, we’ve also learned that will not, in fact, be opening the season against the Broncos, but instead we’ll be going to Tampa to face the Bucs before finally getting to open our stadium in the regular season against the Giants.

I can’t say that the schedule is as difficult as last year’s was, but it certainly isn’t the easiest either. Not to mention that we’ll be finishing it off against Philly again, so let’s hope that our playoff hopes don’t come down to the final game again.

Week 1 – @ Buccaneers
Week 2 – vs Giants
Week 3 – vs Panthers
Week 4 – @ Broncos
Week 5 – @ Chiefs
Week 6 – BYE
Week 7 – vs Falcons
Week 8 – vs Seahawks
Week 9 – @ Eagles
Week 10 – @ Packers
Week 11 – vs Redskins
Week 12 – vs Raiders
Week 13 – @ Giants
Week 14 – vs Chargers
Week 15 – @ Saints
Week 16 – @ Redskins
Week 17 – vs Eagles

  1. That schedule looks AWESOME, I can’t wait! If we don’t make the playoffs this year then something is seriously FUCKED! HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS….

P.S. – A good friend of mine is an Oakland fan til he dies, and he still thinks the Raiders have a chance on Turkey day, ahahaha… this ought to be a good year

  2. I have a feeling that they will be fired up starting this season, and thinking they can go into the BYE at least 4-1, and then have a good chance of winning the two after the BYE too. They NEED to start off on the right note because they face some tough matchups late in the season.

That loss to the Rams last year, a game they should’ve won, ended up being a key game so they cannot drop any of the early games.

I see them going 9-7, with a possiblility of 10-6.

Here’s where I predict the losses will come:
at Kansas City (Oct. 11) LOSS. A game they will overlook and KC will be better than people expect this year. Ex Cowboys coach at the helm will have tricks up his sleeve.

at Green Bay (Nov. 15) LOSS. An away game in GB in the cold..

at NY Giants (Dec. 6) LOSS. Giants dominate at home. Dallas has sucked at the end of season and don’t know that this year will be different.

at New Orleans (Dec. 19) LOSS. I think Sean Payton is a better coach and offensive coordinator than Jason Garrett at this point, and Drew Brees is a better QB than Romo at this point too.

at Washington (Dec. 27) LOSS. Redskins always play the Cowboys tough and it’s somewhat rare in the NFC East to sweep an opponent. I could see them winning this though (changing a 9-7 to 10-6)

vs. Philadelphia (Jan. 3) LOSS. Just think they will have lost steam at this point I hope not.

  3. I dunno man, the KC game will be a good one, I believe we can pull a W out of it. The NO game too is another possible W, if they play right. And I damn short hope they win on Dec. 27th, I will be @ Fedex again this year and I would love to talk shit again to the Skins fans after the game hahaha
