Sidney Jones, Cornerback
Sidney Jones is one of the better cornerback prospects in this years draft class and without a doubt was slated to be drafted in the first round. Unfortunately, while going through drills at his Pro Day, he suffered an Achilles injury that could cause him to slide completely out of the first round in April.
Upon hearing about Jones' Achilles injury, many Cowboys fans speculated he would be the perfect selection for Dallas in the second round with their 60th overall draft pick. The second round is when the Cowboys have shown that they are willing to take a chance on these types of players in the past and Sidney Jones absolutely makes a ton of sense if he is indeed available.
Despite his injury, Jones still states that he will be ready to play at some point in 2017 season. If this is indeed the case, then this is another no-brainer for the Cowboys, especially since he might not have been there at 28 in the first place. They would be getting a first-round caliber player nearly an entire round later.
