Takkarist McKinley, Defensive end
Takkarist McKinley is one of the best pass rushing defensive ends that should be available for the Dallas Cowboys at the back end of the first round. He is probably one of the most athletically gifted DEs in the 2017 draft class, but like everybody else on this list his current injury could impact his availability to start the 2017 season.
McKinley competed at the NFL combine despite having a torn right labrum and a fractured glenoid (broken bone of the shoulder socket). His injury required surgery and his timetable to return to the field could cause him to miss all of the off-season practices with any team that brings him aboard.
It will be tough for him to get up to speed because of all the time he will miss on the field, but he should be able to contribute in 2017. If the Dallas Cowboys are okay with his injury, they could still decide to draft him in the first round.
