McKinley competed at the despite having a torn right labrum and a fractured glenoid (broken bone of the shoulder socket). His injury required surgery and his timetable to return to the field could cause him to miss all of the practices with any team that brings him aboard.

It will be tough for him to get up to speed because of all the time he will miss on the field, but he should be able to contribute in 2017. If the Dallas Cowboys are okay with his injury, they could still decide to draft him in the first round.
