Round 2 (60th overall): Fabian Moreau, CB, UCLA
Again, I expect to catch a little bit of flak by drafting a cornerback in this mock draft instead of a defensive end that can help with the Cowboys pass rush, but I have Fabian Moreau ranked higher than any DE available in the second round.
This pick came down to two CBs, Fabian Moreau or Rasul Douglas. I personally like Moreau better because he is more fluid with his movements and shows more physicality in run support than what Douglas does on film.
Moreau is 6'0″, 200 pounds and is expected to run a 4.3 40 yard dash at the 2017 NFL Scouting Combine. I personally believe he fits more in the mold of what Rod Marinelli likes in his defensive backs and he probably would be a day one starter on the outside for the Cowboys defense.
Moreau would give the Cowboys a bigger CB with the length and speed to match up with the taller more physical wide receivers in the NFL.
