3 Dallas Cowboys That Are In The Hall of Fame

The Dallas Cowboys are one of the most regarded teams in the NFL, as they have achieved success throughout their history. The franchise has won the conference championship on 10 occasions and the Division Championship 23 times. However, they have often been the team for the biggest occasion, and that is evident from the five Super Bowl championships that the Cowboys have won during their history.

Nowadays, gamblers can make bets on the Super Bowl winners, and the best way to do that is by claiming a welcome bonus, such as the Borgata PA bonus code. However, which players have been prominent during their biggest spells of success?

Tony Dorsett

Tony Dorsett enjoyed a prolonged career with the Cowboys after being selected second overall in the 1977 Draft. Dorsett would immediately become an important player for the Cowboys and was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Season in 1977. He stayed with the Cowboys for 10 years and was named a First-Team All-Pro on one occasion in 1981.

During his time with the Cowboys, he would also win the highest accolade on one occasion, as he was part of the Super Bowl XII winning team.

After leaving the Cowboys in 1987, he played for one final season with the Denver Broncos before retiring from the sport. Dorsett recorded 12,739 rushing yards in his career and scored 77 rushing touchdowns. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1994, which was also the same year he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.

Emmitt Smith

Emmitt Smith made a name for himself by smashing records throughout his career. He remains the only running back to have won the Super Bowl MVP award, and he achieved that when winning his second of three Super Bowls with the Cowboys in 1994. His other two Super Bowl victories came at Super Bowl XXVII and Super Bowl XXX.

Smith joined the Cowboys following the NFL Draft in 1990, as he was picked 17th overall in the first round. His career in the NFL was a success, to say the least, as he remains the all-time leading rush scorer. He was named the Most Valuable Player in the league in 1993, and was also a four-time All-Pro, as he was named to the team every season between 1992 and 1995.

Larry Allen

The Cowboys signed Larry Allen following the NFL Draft in 1994, as the guard was picked in the second round. Allen would stay with the Cowboys for 12 seasons and be awarded a Pro-Bowl selection on eleven occasions. He also picked up his one and only Super Bowl ring in 1996, as the Cowboys defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-17.

Allen was named in the All-Decade Team in the 90s and 00s. He left the Cowboys in 2006 to play for a season with the San Francisco 49ers, before re-joining Dallas on a one-day deal to retire with the franchise. He was officially inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2013.
