Soaring High: Two Players Who Came Up Huge in Win Against Colts

Wow, what a great game. The Dallas Cowboys delivered fans with a fun game to watch as the Indianapolis Colts got destroyed 54-19. While there is a lot to unpack in this game, let’s look at two particular players that shined in this win.

CeeDee Lamb:

Time to jump right to my player of the game, Wide Receiver CeeDee Lamb. I was very impressed with his performance. Lamb had five catches for 71 yards and one touchdown. Seems like pretty normal stats for a receiver, right? That’s until you witness what he did on this play that gave the Cowboys their first of many touchdowns.

This was one of the coolest plays I’ve seen all season, and I think it really pictures CeeDee as a character more than anything. Lamb is smart, a lot smarter than most cornerbacks take him as. He also never gives up, as shown in this play.

Lamb is one of the best receivers in the game, and throughout the season he has been a dependable player for the Cowboys ever since the beginning. His route running is also a very underrated skill that Lamb has.

While I am giving Lamb a lot of praise, I also think it’s only fair to shout out the entire offense. I mean, scoring 33 points in the 4th quarter alone is something else. Quarterback Dak Prescott and Running Back Tony Pollard sure entertained the fans tonight, with great passes and runs.

The other player on the list today is none other than a defensive player who used to play for the Colts before moving to Dallas.

Malik Hooker:

Safety Malik Hooker had a fun game as well against his former team. Hooker had an interception and a fumble recovery for a touchdown in this big game. This would be the first time since 1983 when a Cowboy defender had both an interception and fumble recovery for a touchdown. This stat is pretty interesting, Hooker really showed himself how he can not be affected by anything and not be intimidating.

Without Malik, I think this game would have been a lot closer. Hooker did a great job tonight protecting the air and not letting anyone pass. The Cowboy team should be very proud of themselves after that.

I don’t want to be the one to jinx it, but the Dallas Cowboys look like an NFC championship team right now. Each player is playing great and every week there seems to be some new form of success. This is rare for Dallas so it’s nice to finally see the good side effects of “winning”.

In conclusion, there’s nothing that the Cowboys need to feel bad about. Yes, we all have a scare at halftime when the boys were struggling, but if we can do whatever we did in the fourth quarter and apply it to every other quarter, then we’d be able to win the Super Bowl.

Both players played amazingly and there’s not too much to complain about at the moment. The Cowboys are looking better and better as time goes on. Keep winning boys!
