In perhaps some bittersweet news, the Philadelphia Eagles reaching the Super Bowl has created an opening at TE on the NFC Pro Bowl roster. The game will be played on Sunday in Orlando, and Cowboys TE Jason Witten has been selected to fill Ertz’s spot.

For Witten, it is his eleventh Pro Bowl selection, and first since 2014. Jason’s 63 catches in 2017 were his fewest since his rookie year in 2003, and at 35-years-old the Cowboys should cherish every moment they have left with their future Hall of Fame tight end – along with every accolade he earns.
Witten will join Cowboys teammates Travis Frederick, Tyron Smith, and DeMarcus Lawrence at the Pro Bowl. Zack Martin was also named to his fourth Pro Bowl, but will not play as he recovers from offseason surgery.
Carolina Panthers Guard Trai Turner will replace Martin.
