When I joined the Inside The Star team as a contributor in 2017, I thought of it as a very fun hobby but a hobby, nonetheless. Little did I know that I'd completely fall in love with writing about the for such a tremendous, passionate fanbase. After less than a year of writing about the Cowboys' highs and lows as a contributor, I asked for a Junior Writer position in the site and landed my first sports job in 2017.

Today, although it's hard, I bid Inside The Star farewell.

Since becoming a Junior Writer for the site, I've realized sportswriting can become an addiction. A good one, of course. The beauty of sports, in my eyes, has always been in being part of something bigger than yourself. Sharing a deep, sometimes irrational connection to a football team like millions of people around the world do is special.

Getting to share my thoughts, analysis, and sometimes freezing cold takes with you has been an amazing, unbelievable ride. I've written over 700 posts for Inside The Star and yet not once did I feel like I was “working.”

For that, dear reader, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I also want to thank the amazing group of writers I got to work with during my time here. While I always enjoyed your articles and notes, I always enjoyed interacting with you on a daily basis the most.

Of course, I need to thank Managing Editor Bryson Treece for giving me an opportunity to write for the site when I applied as a contributor and later opening the door for me to officially join the staff. I thank you not only for the opportunity but for the immense work you put into refining my craft and for teaching me the importance of satisfying the reader with quality work.

Finally, one more thank you for the readers of this great site who make it all worth it. If I ever interacted with you through the comments section or you just read my work, I appreciate you more than you can know.

I'll still be around covering America's Team as I take off for a new opportunity and adventure and I look forward to hearing from you on social media to talk Cowboys football!

I'll let you get back to your Dallas Cowboys coverage.

Farewell, Cowboys Nation!
