Tonight we are set to immortalize some of the finest men to every play the game of football. The Pro Football Hall of Fame will welcome its newest members, adding to the most elite fraternity in professional sports.
The closing speech at tonight’s ceremonies will be the famed running back of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Jerome Bettis. It seems fitting that on the day that “The Bus” is immortalized that we continue our Countdown To Kickoff with all of the players to have worn his number, 36. So hop on and stay behind the yellow line, today’s bus goes down the highway of the Greatest 36 in Dallas Cowboys History.

Alright, Albritton!
The University of Washington’s Vince Albritton was hoping to fulfill his NFL dreams during the 1984 NFL Draft. Unfortunately he went undrafted, but did find himself taken by the Philadelphia Stars during the USFL Draft.
Vince was having none of that USFL stuff. He wanted to play in the NFL and he wanted to play for the Dallas Cowboys. He chose the path of most resistance and opted to sign with the team as an undrafted free agent.
He initially tried to make the team as a linebacker, but found himself in the defensive backfield as a safety. Albritton was used sparingly throughout his first few years in Dallas before earning the start at strong safety in 1989.
#36: Vince Albritton
Vince Albritton had one interception during that 1989 season, his only of his Cowboy career. He did make an impact on the special teams unit during his time in Dallas, enough to earn him the nod as the Greatest 36 in Dallas Cowboys History.
