Hopefully many of you stayed the course with Jason Witten.

Sure, the touchdowns aren’t there, but the targets and yards are good enough to be in your starting lineup for your fantasy football teams.

Touchdowns are a difficult thing to project, but usage and opportunity are not. It’s rare that Jason Witten is going to get pulled off the field, since he offers too much value in the rushing and passing game.

His 47 yards on seven catches isn’t great on a per catch average, but at this stage Witten is rarely going to run away from anyone. Forty-seven yards isn’t a lot to be excited about in a standard format, but I wouldn’t expect Witten to only have 47 yards with seven catches very often. I would fully anticipate Dak Prescott to continue to look Jason Witten’s way often, especially with Dez Bryant injured.

Going into week five, the Dallas Cowboys are facing a tough Cincinnati Bengals defense.

The Bengals have only allowed 10 catches for 107 yards to tight ends through the first four weeks of the season. They have, however, allowed three touchdown catches in four weeks to tight ends.

While the stats look pretty good, they haven’t faced any of the top-tier tight ends in the league. Pittsburgh, Denver, Miami, and the New York Jets don’t have tight ends that will scare you.

Flawless Forecast: Six catches for 60 yards and one touchdown.
