It’s been about 36 hours since the Dallas Cowboys big win over the division rival Washington Redskins… and it still tastes just as sweet!

There is a lot of work to do moving forward if these Cowboys have any hopes of making the playoffs this season, so this will be the last bit of celebrating regarding the Monday Night Football win.

This celebration is for the guys who completely balled out and without whom the win would not have happened.

DeMarcus Lawrence

“Tank” was all business in DC.

DeMarcus has been slowly turning into the player that we all expected him to be over the last month, but the Redskins game was undoubtedly his finest performance.

Lawrence made sure that Kirk Cousins knew he was going to be in his face all night when he sacked the Washington QB twice on the opening drive! The pressure generated by #90 all night was a huge reason why the defense was able to sustain so much success.

Before Monday Night the play of Tank’s career was unquestionably the sack, forced fumble, and recovery that he had against Detroit in the playoffs last year. It seems that all DeMarcus needed was a little bit of time to develop into the pass-rusher that we all knew lived under that helmet.

Sean Lee

All hail The General!

Dallas Cowboys fans had to watch helplessly as the best linebacker in the game, Luke Kuechly, dominated us all Thanksgiving Day long. Sean Lee showed us on Monday Night Football how we have our own version of a star linebacker.

Lee was in a zone during this game. Throughout his career he has had this incredible ability to always be around the ball and make big plays. It’s not an ability that you can teach… it’s just football talent that Lee has.

Sean has battled different injuries this season, but when he is right this defense is in a different gear. He made plays seemingly on every yard line and picked up his second career sack on a nice blitz play.

When 50 is on the field something special can always happen.

Chris Jones

NFL Network’s Rich Eisen once coined the phrase, “Punters are people, too!”

Welcome to existence, Chris Jones!

It’s pretty rare that a punter is one of the players of the game, but Chris made a play that we simply cannot ignore.

With the game all tied up at 9-9 Jones booted a punt down to the waiting arms of DeSean Jackson. DeSean tried way too hard to make a play and danced all around the Washington goal line. It’s hard to say that this was a 100% foolish move as it’s that same type of electrifying play that makes Jackson special, but in this case it doomed Washington.

D-Jax danced around and fumbled away the football… and the hopes of all Washington Redskins fans. The man who pounced on it was wearing silver and blue and goes by the name of Chris Jones!

Jones’ fumble recovery allowed the Cowboys to score a touchdown that would help them seal the game in its final minutes.

Dan Bailey

You know that I couldn’t leave Dan the Man off of this list!

Dan Bailey has been the epitome of consistency for the Dallas Cowboys since he took over the kicking duties in 2011. In fact in Bailey’s first game ever against the Redskins he was a perfect six for six as the Cowboys scored 18 points in a victory over their division rivals.

With 14 seconds left and a 54-yard field goal on deck Dan Bailey stepped in and did what Dan Bailey does.

He lined up, took aim, and sailed his kick through the crossbars.

Dan Bailey’s 13 points were instrumental in the Cowboys victory over the Redskins and they’re going to need his same consistency down the stretch if anything special is going to happen to this team.
