ORLANDO SCANDRICK SHOULD BEAT OUT MIKE JENKINS

This training camp hasn’t seen a lot of story lines, but incase you’ve been stuffed in a coffin for the last 3 months, Scandrick and Jenkins have been battling for starting position throughout camp. A lot of people are pulling for Jenkins, mostly because he was a higher draft pick and the Cowboys have more money invested in him. Let me serve you all a fact: Jenkins is not better then Scandrick. I know this because I watch them play, I study them, it’s my passion. Scandrick is more aggressive which sometimes causes mistakes, but Jenkins is a little more passive he doesn’t tackle as well and he takes a while to make decisions. Statistics over this preseason mean nothing. As the coaches are weary to deliver an answer, I expect Scandrick to win the job, but he’ll shift to the nickelback in nickel packages.KevinOgletree-2

SAM HURD SHOULD START OVER MILES AUSTIN AND PATRICK CRAYTON

Since the departure of Terrell Owens, we have heard to cry to a savior. A savior who will save the Tony Romo from another mediocre season. A savior from New Jersey, named Miles Austin. Let me say this, though I understand that not much can be deduced from preseason, Austin has been only slightly impressive, Crayton has been Crayton, and Hurd….well Hurds been breath taking. This preseason Hurd has made 6 catches for 96 yards, and has been brilliantly spectacular during practice. Football is a sport about earning your spot and earning your time. Lets see if this holds true.

KEVIN OGLETREE SHOULD MAKE THE TEAM

It happens to us every year. We read the articles and watch the games and tape and fall in love with a character that is highly unlikely to make the team. This year that character is Kevin Ogletree, except….well he may just make the team. He has played consistent and though he hasn’t been brilliant, he has gained a bit of trust from a guy on the team named Tony Romo. His competition is a umm veteran? Kinda… who has been injured, and a bit of a bust. Stanback just doesn’t deserve the spot any more, he hasn’t delivered and certainly hasn’t been consistent. Here’s to you Ogletree…. We’re pulling for you! Unfortunately that means nothing.
