Twitter is a fun place. I’m on the record about that.

Friday morning I got my day started off with a nice cup of coffee and the dove into the great and unknown Twitterverse. Since the subject of Ron Leary, and his well-known wishes to be traded from the Dallas Cowboys is a hot one these days I tried to see what there was on him.

Cowboys Headlines - Connecting Dots: Could Ron Leary Be Headed To Tennessee?

I want to be clear here. Everything that I’m talking about is predicated on Twitter. But hey, look at that! Is Ron Leary headed to Tennessee?

This account belongs to Ron Leary’s wife, they just recently got married, and she’s been doing some liking (as is her right, it’s her Twitter account after all).

This whole thing is just particularly interesting because of how hot the “Will the Cowboys trade Ron Leary?” talks have been lately. There is no mention of her Twitter handle here so she sought it out on her own.

A Leary-to-Tennessee trade makes a lot of sense for both parties. Ron Leary is a starting caliber guard in the National Football League, and the Cowboys are fortunate enough to have depth at the position. Tennessee wants to run the ball. This is clear by their previous trade this offseason for former Cowboy DeMarco Murray and the drafting of Heisman Trophy Winner Derrick Henry. Ron Leary could go a long way in aiding that effort.

In his post talking about Leary-to-Tennessee trade scenarios, Staff Writer Jess Haynie considered a potential veteran defensive end, and we all know about the needs that the Cowboys have on that unit.

“A guy who makes way more sense is veteran Karl Klug. He reminds me of Jeremy Mincey as a versatile player able to play the strongside end or some inside tackle. He’s 28-year-old and has an expiring contract with a $2.25 million cap hit in 2016, about the same as Leary’s one-year deal. That’s about as even a trade as you could ask for.”

I’m just talking about Twitter. I support Ron Leary (and his entire family) 100% and wish him all the best in every avenue of his life. I’m just connecting dots here.

Ron Leary’s wife did reach out, though.

We covered a ton of news yesterday here at Inside The Star, including the report that the New Orleans Saints are interested in Ron Leary and have been for some time.

For now we can only connect dots. We’ll keep you up to date on this situation here at Inside The Star throughout the weekend.
