[tps_title]Cowboys 2017 Mock Draft: Round 3, 92nd overall[/tps_title]
Jake Butt, TE, Michigan
If not for his late-season knee injury, Jake Butt probably would've been drafted somewhere towards the end of the first round or early second. The Cowboys have been known to take a chance on talented injured players, so it is not a stretch to think they wouldn't take him in the third.
Matt Miller currently has Butt as his 123rd player, but I decided to draft him a little early because I don't think he will be there that late.
With Jason Witten's career coming to an end pretty soon and his possible retirement after the 2017 season, it is time to start looking for his replacement. The Cowboys probably don't have that player currently on the roster, but once healthy Jake Butt could be the answer.
The Cowboys can afford to redshirt him his rookie season with the depth they currently have on the roster and that could be a win-win for everybody involved.
