[tps_title]Cowboys 2017 Mock Draft: Round 4, 133rd overall[/tps_title]
Dede Westbrook, WR, Oklahoma
Just because the Dallas Cowboys resigned Terrance Williams and Brice Butler doesn't necessarily mean that they are done trying to upgrade the wide receiver position. That is why I decided to draft Dede Westbrook, who Matt Miller currently has rated as his 181st overall player.
Westbrook decided not to compete in the events at the NFL combine, choosing instead to wait until his pro day at Oklahoma. He did however meet with teams, including the Dallas Cowboys, to answer any questions they had about some of his red flags. At his pro day he ran a 4.34 40 yard dash, posted a 10.0 broad jump, 34.5 vertical jump, 4.5 20 yard shuffle, 7.38 three cone drill, and a 11.95 60 yard shuffle.
At 6'0″, 180 pounds, Westbrook doesn't quite fit the Cowboys preferred parameters for their wide receivers, but he would be the deep threat a lot of fans have wanted for about the past decade. Being able to take the top off of defenses would allow the Cowboys to open up the passing game underneath and also allow Ezekiel Elliott to see less stacked boxes in the running game.
