[tps_title]Cowboys 2017 Mock Draft: Round 7, 228th overall[/tps_title]
Treyvon Hester, DT, Toledo
Treyvon Hester is a penetrating 3-technique defensive tackle that Matt Miller currently has as his 309th prospect in his player rankings. At 6'2″, 300, Hester has the size to play the interior on the Cowboys defensive line, but he needs to fine-tune his technique to become a more consistent player.
Hester has the talent to be a good rotational player along the defensive line for the Cowboys as a rookie, but could develop into a starter in a year or two. He is strong at the point of attack, but is inconsistent with this pad level, which sometimes causes him to get washed out of plays. He also has the quickness to be a disruptive player, but you see is motor run hot and cold.
I would love to see what Rod Marinelli could do with Hester. I think he could turn into a really good player if he can fix his technique and become more consistent with this play down after down.
