With the 2017 NFL combine a mere two days away now, I thought I would continue this series of sharing with you some of the participants to watch for the Dallas Cowboys. I’ve already shared with you the defensive ends, cornerbacks, wide receivers, and running backs you should watch and get to know at the combine. But, now let’s turn our attention to some of the safeties in this draft class that may be on the Cowboys radar.

Barry Church and J.J. Wilcox are set to hit free agency, and I think it’s time that the Dallas Cowboys try to step away from those box safety type of players that struggle in coverage. Ideally I think they would prefer to have two interchangeable safeties, so those are the types of players I focused on. This is a pretty deep safety class, but I was able to narrow it down to find the ones I think would be a good fit playing on the backend of the defense next to Byron Jones.

Use the arrow total provided to navigate through the 5 safety prospects.

Man, you were prescient! He was the Combine’s best in both.
