Cowboys Fear Sports Hernia For CB Morris Claiborne

The Dallas Cowboys aren’t even 12 hours removed from their epic overtime victory over the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles, and it looks like the celebration will indeed be short-lived. It’s being reported that the Cowboys fear cornerback Morris Claiborne has a sports hernia that would force him to miss some serious time.

Dallas fears CB Morris Claiborne suffered sports hernia that would sideline him indefinitely, per @toddarcher. More tests today.

Morris Claiborne has played phenomenally for the Cowboys through their NFC-leading 6-1 start to the season. He’s been this team’s defensive MVP, and losing him would be a big blow to what has become the strength of Rod Marinelli’s defense.

We’ll keep you updated as far as official word is concerned here at Inside The Star. Let’s all hope for the best, and for what it’s worth the NFL Trade Deadline is Tuesday, November 1st.

I like long walks on the beach, mystery novels, no just kidding those suck. The Dallas Cowboys were put on this earth for us all to love and appreciate. I do that 24/7/365. I also love chicken parmesan. Let's roll. @RJOchoa if you wanna shout!

This will probably end Claiborne’s season. There’s a remote chance he could come back by week 16 or 17, which would mean he could be available for the playoffs, assuming the Cowboys make the playoffs (it’s definitely looking good there). The real question will be during the off-season. He’ll be a free agent and he will have to answer the injury questions once again. That might make it where he’s affordable for Dallas to resign him. No matter what happens this year though, CB will be at the top of the draft list in 2017.

Get well fast, Mo! We miss you already!
