Cowboys Hold Visit, COVID Testing With OL Ron Leary

According to Cowboys insider Mike Fisher, Dallas held a visit for offensive lineman Ron Leary this week, and he is undergoing COVID testing with the team.

BREAKING: I’m told OL Ron Leary has visited with #Cowboys and is undergoing COVID-19 testing with team.

Ron Leary spent his first five NFL seasons with the Cowboys, starting at guard when their offensive line was at their best back in 2014. Leary left in free agency to join the Denver Broncos in 2017, as the Cowboys expected La’el Collins to replace him at guard for the future.

The Cowboys are dealing with some severe offensive line troubles right now. Starting right tackle La’el Collins is on IR, Tyron Smith is a game-time decision for tomorrow’s battle with the Falcons, and even backup swing tackle Cameron Erving is hurt.

Ron Leary would be a welcomed addition to a Cowboys offensive line which needs depth right now.

What do you think?

  1. You knoe having him inside for depth could be a great signing. Don’t forget Connor Williams can move out to tackle which would help in that scenario. I say our 5 starters with Biadsz, McGovern, Leary, Knight and Serving(when he returns, Steele in the meantime) and I’m feeling much more better about our OL

  2. Well he was hurt in 2017/2018/2019 but if he is healthy he could definately help us. He is a J Looney level player so we could do worse. He has exp. playing with Smith/Martin and could very well start some games for us this yr He could turn out to be a good timely pick up.
