The NFL trade deadline is typically a boring affair, but we’ve had some news that perked our eyebrows so far this morning.

It was reported that the New York Jets called the Cowboys regarding defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson, but maybe the Cowboys are on the phone due to a call they placed with another AFC East team. Could the Cowboys have interest in Dolphins pass rusher Cameron Wake? Yes.

The Cowboys are dealing with injuries in their secondary right now. Morris Claiborne and Barry Church are both rumored to be missing 4-6 weeks, and while it might make sense to go acquire talent in the secondary perhaps the Cowboys are just going to pass rush their way to victory.

You have to wonder what it would cost for the Cowboys to acquire someone like Cam Wake. It surely wouldn’t be anything minimal, but maybe some team really is a sucker for Darren McFadden? A mid to late round draft pick? Who knows. We all will know at 3pm CT today, the NFL’s official trade deadline.

Would you want the Cowboys to make a move for Cameron Wake? Let us know! Comment below, Email me at RJ.Ochoa@SlantSports.com, or Tweet to me at @RJOchoa!
