The may need another facility to hold all the wide receivers they have. The talented trio of , , and lead the way. However, they also have Noah Brown, Cedrick Wilson, Malik Turner, rookie Simi Fehoko and others as well.

You'd think that'd be enough receivers to have on the roster, but the Cowboys have added more depth to the position as of Monday. Former Ohio State Johnnie Dixon recently had a tryout for the Cowboys, and it garnered him a contract.

Dixon only played in two games in his first two seasons in Columbus, totaling just two receptions. In his third collegiate season in 2016, Dixon had only six receptions for 26 yards, and he also dealt with knee problems that required surgery. In 2017 as a redshirt junior, things began to turn around for Dixon as he compiled 18 receptions for 422 and eight touchdowns. As a senior, he was named a team captain and was pretty productive with 42 receptions for 669 yards and another eight touchdowns. He also set a career-high in receptions (7) and yards (129) in Ohio State's beat down of Northwestern in the 2018 Big Ten Championship.

He finished his college career with 67 receptions for 1,146 yards and 16 touchdowns.

After going undrafted in 2019, Dixon spent time with the Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals, and had a tryout out for the Cleveland Browns last week but didn't sign a deal.

It will be an uphill battle for Dixon to make the Cowboys roster. However, at this point, Dixon just wants an opportunity, and now he has it.
