Second times the charm?

The and Pittsburgh Steelers were supposed to kick off the 2020 season in Canton, Ohio, but unfortunately the pandemic got the best of the preseason. The game was cancelled, and ultimately the league got rid of the entirety of the 2020 preseason.

Now, that Hall of Fame Game has been rescheduled for this August, kicking off the 2021 campaign with two of the league's biggest brands.

Both the 2020 and 2021 classes will be celebrated during this year's Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony. This means that Cowboys legends Drew Pearson, Cliff Harris, and Jimmy Johnson will all go into the Hall together ahead of the preseason opener.

The NFL has not yet announced the rest of the preseason schedule, but given they are in the Hall of Fame Game, Dallas is expected to have five preseason games before kicking off in September.

This Cowboys/Steelers matchup is scheduled for Thursday, August 5th at 7 p.m. CT.

Let's hope there's no hiccups between now and then.
