Cowboys-Texans Game Will Now Air Live on NFL Network

No doubt due to the ongoing crisis in Houston, this Thursday night’s preseason finale between the Texans and the Dallas Cowboys has been picked up for live coverage by the NFL Network.

PROGRAMMING CHANGE: @nflnetwork will carry Texans-Cowboys LIVE Thursday at 8p ET nation-wide, including local markets

The game, which was moved from Houston to Arlington due to the flooding, is the next in an almost annual series as the interstate rivals compete for the Governor’s Cup. Houston won last year’s meeting 28-17, which was also played in the teams’ final preseason game.

Traditionally, the preseason matchups between Dallas and Houston have been on the final week and played by the teams second and third-string players. Cowboys fans are looking forward to seeing more of rookie quarterback Cooper Rush and other players competing for roster positions.
