Dallas Cowboys Draft WR Ryan Switzer At #133

After going defense on their first three selections, the Cowboys decided to give quarterback Dak Prescott yet another weapon to utilize on the offensive side of the ball. In terms of skill, Switzer is a very similar player to current Cowboys WR Cole Beasley, working out of slot as a shifty route runner.

Standing at 5’8″ 185 pounds, Switzer is the prototypical slot receiver who also brings a ton of explosiveness in the return game, returning 7 kicks/punts for touchdowns as a Tar Heel.

Barring a trade, the Cowboys will not be on the clock again until the 6th round.

  1. I think Ryan could do what Whitehead does, only better. I believe New England used 2 slots named Edelman and Amendola. If the NFL is a copycat league, then it sure looks like Beasley and Switzer are that cat.
