Thursday Night Football is now over, which means it's time to start looking ahead to Sunday and your DraftKings line-ups. Sunday will offer multiple individual game showdowns, but of course, in this article, we will be looking at the Cowboys vs Broncos DraftKings showdown slate; breaking down who to play in the captain and flex spots.

Captain Choices:

QB – ($17,400)

Dak is the obvious captain choice here. He practiced fully on Thursday and will look to continue his great season. Dak has scored 25-plus DraftKings points in his last three games and has at least three passing touchdowns in four consecutive games.

The Broncos allow the 16th most DraftKings points per game to quarterbacks and Dak will be on a mission in his first game back from injury to prove he is 100% and keep himself in the MVP conversation.

WR – ($15,300)/ WR- ($14,100)

CeeDee Lamb is questionable with a sprained ankle he suffered in practice. So, if you're going to employ Lamb in your roster be sure to monitor his status going forward.

Lamb has scored a touchdown or gone over 100 yards receiving his last three games, averaging 26.03 DK points per game in those contests. Lamb has also scored over 17.4 DK points in five of his seven games. He is about as consistent as they come and has game-breaking potential which is always an asset for someone in the captain slot.

Amari Cooper is consistent in his own right scoring double-digit DK points in five of his seven games. He is not quite as explosive as Lamb but is just as likely to find the end zone. Cooper is coming off a 13-target game against the Vikings and with a potentially hobbled Lamb on Sunday, he could take on a more expanded role.

Flex Choices:

WR – Jerry Jeudy ($6,800)

Jerry Jeudy played his first game last week since week one. He only had four grabs for 39 yards on four targets, but part of his appeal is that he is priced 1k DraftKings dollars less than his counterpart Courtland Sutton.

With perhaps shadowing Sutton, that could leave more room for Jeudy to operate. The talent and play-making ability are there for Jeudy, and the Cowboys are the 30th ranked in terms of fantasy points allowed to opposing wide receivers, so the potential for a big game is there.

QB – Teddy Bridgewater ($9,600)

The fantasy performances have not been there for Teddy Bridgewater recently, although he still has thrown for multiple touchdowns in five of seven games this season. The game script in this game will also probably favor Bridgewater, as I'm a firm believer the Broncos will be playing from behind in this game.

Despite shutting down Kirk Cousins last week, the Cowboys' defense is still ranked 30th in fantasy points per game against opposing quarterbacks. I think that alone makes Bridgewater a valuable asset in this game.

TE – Albert Okwuegbunam ($1,600)

This is an easy pick. Albert Okwuegbunam will get an expanded role in the Broncos offense on Sunday because Noah Fant has been placed on the reserve/Covid-19 list.

Okwuegbunam has recorded a reception in only five of seven games this season. He did have 3 catches last Sunday though. There is no reason to expect a big output for Okwuegbunam but in these showdown slates, a potential value like this is hard to come by.

This will open more room to fit in one more highly-priced player if you are looking for the stars and scrubs approach.

TE – Dalton Schultz ($7,200)

Dalton Schultz only had two catches last week against the Vikings, tied for his lowest mark of the season. The good news is that he still had seven targets and has six or more targets in all but one game this year.

This feels like a good bounce-back game for Schultz as Prescott will be back and consistently looks to get Schultz involved in the game.
