With everything locked up for the postseason and nothing to play for today, the Dallas Cowboys will be resting many starters. Some will start the game and leave early while others won’t be playing at all.

Here is the final injury report from each team based on their Friday practices.

  • LP – Limited Participate
  • DNP – Did Not Participate
  • OUT – Already Ruled Out

Dallas Cowboys

DeMarcus Lawrence
Lawrence is the Cowboys’ only reliable option for Week One right now.
  • OT Tyron Smith (knee) – OUT
  • G Ronald Leary (back) – DNP
  • DE DeMarcus Lawrence (back) – OUT
  • DE Tyrone Crawford
    (shoulder/hamstring) – OUT
  • DE Jack Crawford (foot) – LP
  • DT Terrell McClain (ankle) – OUT
  • DT Cedric Thornton (ankle) – OUT
  • LB Sean Lee (knee) – LP
  • LB Justin Durant (elbow) – OUT
  • CB Morris Claiborne (groin) – OUT
  • CB Anthony Brown (concussion) – LP

We already know who the seven inactives will be from this report. Dallas will officially be without at least six of their defensive players and offensive tackle Tyron Smith. However, there are a few other guys on the “active 46” who may not actually play.

Guard Ron Leary did not practice at all last week, which typically means a player won’t get into the game. Dallas promoted guard Ryan Seymour from the practice squad yesterday; another good sign that Leary won’t be playing today.

Sean Lee was listed on last week’s injury report but played against the Detroit Lions. He will likely play this week but will probably be one of the first guys to get pulled when Dallas begins resting starters.

Rookie corner Anthony Brown did finally clear concussion protocol on Friday and return to practice. Dallas may elect to give him today off for some extra precaution, but they also likely want to give Orlando Scandrick and Brandon Carr some time off as well. We’ll have to wait and see how they handle it.

With Tyron Smith ruled out, Emmett Cleary will get his firs career start. He looked solid last week in relief of Smith and was praised by Jerry Jones for his performance.

Dallas will be thin on the defensive line once again. They will rely on Maliek Collins, David Irving, Benson Mayowa to be the catalysts again. Randy Gregory should play but could be limited with an abdominal injury. Newly-signed defensive tackle Richard Ash is also expected to appear.

Philadelphia Eagles

Byron Jones, Eagles

  • WR Jordan Matthews (ankle) – LP
  • G Allen Barbre (hamstring) – LP
  • LB Michal Kendricks (quadricep) – LP

Matthews, the Eagles’ leading receiver, missed two days of practice and was limited on Friday with an ankle problem. He only had 10 yards on four catches in the first meeting with the Cowboys, but did have Philly’s only receiving touchdown that day. His absence would open up a larger role for Dorial Green-Beckham.

Barbre, their left guard, was listed as “Doubtful” on their final injury report. That will be good for the Cowboys short-handed defensive line. Rookie Isaac Seumalo, a third-round pick, has already started three games this year and will likely get another today.

Mychal Kendricks popped up on the report on Friday for a quad injury he must have suffered in practice. He starts at outside linebacker and his status for today remains to be seen.
