Yes, I know. Another loss for the Cowboys in a game which, once again, they should have won, but there were a few bright spots. Selecting the players of the week would have been an easy task if a certain unit wore blue and silver, but instead, they wear black and white pinstripes on their uniforms.

So without further ado, here’s the Cowboys players of the week!

La’el Collins and Tyron Smith

There was just no way for me to decide between the two. Collins and Tyron Smith appear to be getting very comfortable playing next to each other on the left side of the offensive line and that is going spell trouble for opposing defenses for years to come. Per Pro Football Focus, Smith graded out +4.6 with Collins not too far behind at +4.1.

Greg Hardy

It was hard to not go with Demarcus Lawrence here, who I thought played his best gameNFC East Blog - Top 5 Things Cowboys Fans Should Fly Above Eagles Training Camp of the season, but in the end I had to stick with the Kracken. Hardy (+6.4) recorded Dallas’ first turnover in what seems like a decade, he added five more QB pressures (two hits, three hurries) to his rapidly growing impressive season totals.

Dan Bailey

Not only did Bailey record the only points for the Cowboys by converting all four of his field goal attempts, he helped out the special teams kickoff coverage, allowing only one return for 18 yards. I hope I’m wrong, but I’ve got a hunch that we may see Bailey’s name on the list for the next two weeks until hopefully Tony Romo returns and revives this…whatever you want to call it that is the Cowboys offense.
