After yesterdays historic game there has been a lot of talk about Romo, some positive, most negative. After a loss it seems natural for people to focus on the negatives but I want to switch our focus to something a little less negative: the way receiver Dez Bryant has been playing.
Bryant had two touchdown catches for a second consecutive week on Sundays game against the Denver Broncos. Bryant finished with six catches for 141 yards and a two 2-yard touchdown catches.
This was the eighth multi-TD game of his career.
Bryant has had at least one TD catch in four consecutive games.
However, the Cowboys haven’t been successful when Bryan has scored multiple touchdowns. The Cowboys are 1-7 in games when Bryant has at least two touchdown catches.
“It shouldn’t surprise us that these guys can have individual big efforts with the talent that’s around the NFL and it doesn’t necessarily relate to a win,” Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said.
“It’s just too much talent and too many variables in a game, principally turnovers that mitigate and compromise great performances from a receiver like Dez.”
