Draft Cowboys: Hawaii Bowl Quick Notes

The Oregon State Beavers outlasted the Boise State Broncos in the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl 38-23. The game wasn’t nearly as close as the score indicated. The Beavers were up 38-6 with seven minutes to go in the third quarter. This game was mainly dominated by defense.

Boise State

Demarcus Lawrence Defensive End

  • Disruptive in the backfield.
  • Constantly fighting double teams
  • His pursuit and closing speed standout

Matt Miller Wide Receiver

  • Shows quickness and good hands
  • Productive and quarterbacks favorite target

Grant Hedrick Quarterback

  • Shows live arm
  • Balls come out of his hand with zip

Note: One player that jumped on film was RS Junior Safety Jeremy Ioane

Oregon State

Brandin Cooks Wide Receiver

  • Good downfield blocker
  • As sure handed as there is
  • His quickness allows separation
  • Explodes out of his breaks
  • Runs crisp routes

Sean Mannion Quarterback

  • Stands tall in the pocket
  • Quick release
  • Strong Arm

Rashaad Reynolds

  • Has a nose for the ball (Six picks this season)
  • Had 2 scoop and score fumble recoveries

Terron Ward

  • Powerful back
  • Constantly churning legs

Scott Chricton

  • Forced the first fumble recovered by Reynolds
  • Caused issues for Boise St in the passing game
