Preseason football doesn’t mean everything, but it definitely matters. Coaches use the preseason to evaluate talent. Players use preseason to find a rhythm. It matters.

Here are your Fantasy Football Rankings following the action in week 2 of the preseason.

Two to Watch

Cleveland Browns quarterback, Robert Griffin III, had a really nice showing in the second preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons. He threw for 96 yards, two touchdowns, and 36 yards rushing; an impressive stat line. More importantly, he’s getting confidence back. His deep ball is on the money and Cleveland has some guys you can get deep. Also important to note: appears he has figured out how to slide.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Dak Prescott, continued his tremendous preseason with 4 total touchdowns. He continued to display poise, arm strength, and his running ability. He got away with a couple of would-be interceptions, one called back on a roughing the passer penalty, and then another dropped. In dynasty leagues, he should be owned, especially if you own Tony Romo.

NFC East

Aside from Tony Romo and the New York Giants’ Eli Manning, I’m avoiding quarterbacks in the NFC East.

A lot of people are really high on Kirk Cousins. But I’m not. He had a good season last year, but I’d be more of a believer if Washington would have paid him. The fact they couldn’t agree on a deal is a troubling sign they don’t view him as a long term solution.

What must we say about Sam Bradford?

He hasn’t been a good NFL quarterback. As an Oklahoma Sooners fan, this is disappointing. He hasn’t shown the ability to consistently make the right decisions with the football. He hasn’t been able to stay healthy either, so this appears to be his last shot to start in the NFL.
