There’s a lot on the line for the Dallas Cowboys this weekend as they host the Baltimore Ravens. This is the only active franchise in existence that they’ve never beaten, and they bring to town the league’s top-ranked run defense.
Part of what makes that unit so special is linebacker Terrell Suggs. This is a pretty mean dude and one who’s so good that in 2011 he was the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year. Suggs has taken on many fearful personas over the years, and he famously said he hailed from “Ball So Hard University” during a Sunday Night Football introduction. This week Terrell Suggs has taken on another veil, Hacksaw Smithers, as he playfully “interviewed” Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott during the conference calls between teams.
Dak Prescott is accustomed to doing these phone calls with the opposing team’s media every week, and he surely thought that “Hacksaw” was just another reporter. When Hacksaw asked Dak about Terrell Suggs, Prescott responded that he’s a great player who’s done it at a high level for a long time.
“Hacksaw” will be looking to stop Dak Prescott every chance he gets this Sunday. Who will prove to be victorious? Well, nobody named Hacksaw Smithers ever won anything.
