Jason Witten has become the Dallas Cowboys’ all-time leader in receiving yards. His record-breaking catch was an 11-yard reception in the second quarter of the Cowboys’ season-opening game against the New York Giants.

Witten entered the night 16 yards behind Hall-of-Fame receiver Michael Irvin, who had 11,904 yards from 1988-1999. Witten (1091 receptions) long ago passed Irvin (750) as the franchise leader in catches.

Neither Irvin or Witten are on top in receiving touchdowns. They are third and fourth, respectively, behind Dez Bryant and “Bullet” Bob Hayes. Hayes is the franchise leader with 71 touchdowns and Dez is second with 67.  Irvin and Witten are close behind with 65 and 63 scoring catches.
