Yesterday the Jerome Henderson era in Dallas officially ended when he signed on with the Atlanta Falcons to be their passing game coordinator on defense.

A large sector of Cowboys Nation breathed a huge sigh of relief when the news was made official as Coach Henderson’s secondary struggled mightily throughout his tenure in Dallas. The lone light of positivity that came from that position group last season was Byron Jones and that can be largely attributed to Byron’s own individual talent. Nevertheless, we wish Coach Henderson good luck in his future!

The Cowboys already had some holes to fill in the secondary in terms of players, so adding a coach to that list puts the position group in even more question. With the Cowboys coaching in the Senior Bowl they’ll need someone to handle it, and they’ve got their guys for Mobile.

Coach Garrett addressed a few other speculations when he spoke this morning in Mobile. There was some uncertainty surrounding Tight Ends Coach Mike Pope, who is “working through some personal issues”, but he’ll remain on staff.

The other coaching shuffle revolves around Marc Colombo, who played for the Cowboys from 2005-2010. It appears as if he will be promoted to the Assistant Offensive Line Coach, but we’ll keep you monitored on that here at Inside The Star.

There will be a lot happening this week what with the Senior Bowl going on. Expect lots of Cowboys goodies in your trick-or-treat bag over the next few days, and you don’t even have to dress up to get them! How freaking awesome is that?
