Leighton Vander Esch Among Inactives for Cowboys-Giants on MNF

The Dallas will be without one of their brightest young stars, Leighton Vander Esch, in tonight’s divisional battle with the New York Giants. He was named as one of their seven inactive players for Week 9.

Vander Esch is the only starter missing for Dallas tonight. Coming off the , the Cowboys were able to get most of their healthy in preparation for the second half of the .

and figure to get increased playing time tonight in Leighton’s absence.

The Giants are missing one of their key players as well tonight as starting WR Sterling Shepard has not fully recovered from a concussion.

The loss of Shepard will help balance things out when New York has the ball. But the Giants still have and Evan Engram as targets, plus the dynamic for all sorts of uses.
