The world of America’s Team belongs to Morris Claiborne right now – according to Morris Claiborne. The suddenly confident and dominant defensive back in year five with the Cowboys, Claiborne has balled out in lock down efforts of Odell Beckham Jr., DeSean Jackson, Alshon Jeffery, and most recently A.J. Green.

Showing off the skill set that made him more than worthy of his top-ten draft status in 2012, it truly has been just a matter of health when it comes to #24 dominating at the highest level of football.

“I feel like I’ve always been an aggressive player.” – Morris Claiborne

In a recent interview, Claiborne referenced these previous lost seasons, throughout which he’s admitted questioning his place in football. Now, Claiborne claims the aggressiveness has been there all along, and he is displaying it with textbook technique and timely pass breakups.

“Every week I compete with Sean Lee and Barry Church. We push each other in all different types of ways.” – Claiborne

Overall, the Dallas Cowboys are the perfect team for Claiborne to combine this humble attitude and insane work ethic with, as Head Coach Jason Garrett consistently preaches ideologies like COMPETE or FINISH. Driven by his fellow leaders on defense, Claiborne is not only competing and finishing – but he is thriving in a pivotal position for the 4-1 NFC East leading Dallas Cowboys.

A tough test once again awaits the Dallas defense this Sunday on the road at the Packers, with the defensive line heating things up last week in DeMarcus Lawrence’s return to action. Claiborne and the secondary will hold up to their assignments against Aaron Rodgers, as Dallas will look to enter the bye week with just one loss – and reinforcements on the way.
