With no repeat winner in over 15 years, the has long been one of the NFL's least predictable and most closely-contested divisions. That trend appears set to continue in 2021 as oddsmakers are giving all four NFC East teams reasonable odds at winning.

Thankfully, despite the uncertainty, our are at least still the current favorites to be NFC East Champions this season.

Oddsmakers are giving the Cowboys the edge right now to take their division in 2021, but not with nearly the same confidence as other frontrunners. For example, the Kansas City Chiefs are at -305 to win the AFC West while Dallas is +125 to win the NFC East.

The discrepancy is also seen in the underdogs. The Eagles have the worst odds to be division champs at +500, but that's still way higher than the +2200 that the Houston Texans are getting in the AFC South.

With Washington at +260 and New York at +350 as potential division winners, it shows how little faith that the sportsbooks have in any one team taking the NFC East. That could be because of how bad everyone was in 2020, but it could be based on the division's modern history.

Not since the Eagles in 2004 has any NFC East team won the division two years in a row. Dallas, Philly, and Washington have been alternating for most of the last decade, with New York having not won since 2011.

If the Football Team wins in 2021, they will break the cycle as the first repeat winner in 17 years.

But thanks to getting and most of their starting back, plus hopeful improvements on with a new coordinator and players, the Cowboys are seen as the early favorites. Having the only proven starting QB in the division does wonders for any team's credibility.

Will the oddsmakers be proven right, or will Dallas disappoint fans and gamblers alike in 2021?
