With training camps opening around the league, many wondered and worried what sort of COVID-19 outbreaks the NFL could see. But while the worries were high (so far) the positive case numbers remain relatively low.
The NFLPA announced this week that since July 21st there have been 56 positive COVID-19 cases among their players, putting them below a 1% positivity rate overall. Of course, it's still early but this is great news for a league which is trying to have as close to a normal season as possible.
The Dallas Cowboys themselves continued to have good news related COVID as well, with zero positive cases so far and no super impactful player opt outs. As Clarence Hill notes in his tweet below, stud defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence did consider it publicly, but has reported to camp.
The Cowboys are covid clear again and there are officially no opt outs at the deadline. DE DeMarcus Lawrence, who openly considered it, is good to go.

Let's hope the safety protocols continue to be followed and the NFL season keeps going on without much of a hiccup.
