With much of the football world wondering if the Cowboys would bring in a veteran quarterback presence to compete with young Kellen Moore in training camp, we might've finally got our answer.
It has been announced Dallas is signing quarterback Luke McCown to a one year deal, just in time for week two of training camp.

I'll leave my opinion on the signing out of this, as I still would like to study McCown further before being too hard-lined in my take.
Regardless, McCown was the backup for Drew Brees in New Orleans since 2013, and has bounced around the league since being drafted in the fourth round of the 2004 NFL Draft.
I anticipate we will see some McCown during this elongated Cowboys preseason.
Dallas is also signing wide receiver Javontee Herndon after working out multiple wide-outs following the release of Lucky Whitehead.

Herndon has spent his entire two year career with the Chargers, after signing there as an undrafted free agent in 2014. Herndon has just 24 receptions for 195 yards and no touchdowns thus far in the league.
