Report: Cowboys Sign Veteran RB Ronnie Hillman

With some uncertainty hanging around running back Ezekiel Elliott’s status for week one of the season, the Dallas Cowboys have decided to sign veteran back Ronnie Hillman.

Ronnie Hillman will have to fight with fellow veteran teammates for reps during practice, but he should get his chance over the next few weeks.

Dallas is signing veteran RB Ronnie Hillman, per source. A sense: could be indication of concern over NFL decision on Ezekiel Elliott.

Hillman has spent most of his career in Denver with the Broncos, with his best season coming in 2015 where he finished with 863 yards and 7 rushing touchdowns.

Hillman played in just 8 games last year, however, and will have an uphill battle to beat out Alfred Morris and Darren McFadden for a final roster spot in Dallas.

What do you think?
