The first couple of days of Cowboys training camp have been adventurous, but luckily, there was some good news today for the team.

Third round rookie cornerback Jourdan Lewis was found not guilty of a domestic violence charge after standing trial earlier this afternoon. Lewis had allegedly forcefully thrown a pillow at his girlfriend during a disagreement while he was still at the University of Michigan.

There has been no news on whether the NFL plans to discipline Lewis, but his name has been cleared legally as of today.

He is now expected to report to Cowboys training camp as soon as possible.

  1. I hate looking at Cowboys articles about another player in some legal stuff, This guy came in from College with Domestic Charges and Court Dates , he must of been destined to be a Cowboy SMFH!!

  2. “There has been no news on whether the NFL plans to discipline Lewis”.

If the alleged incident occurred while Lewis was in college, why would the NFL discipline him? He was not an NFL employee and thus the NFL good conduct policy should not apply. What am I missing here?
