Roster Moves: Dallas Cowboys Replace 3 Players

The Dallas Cowboys have made some changes to the bottom of their roster, releasing three players to sign new ones at each of their positions. No longer with the team is LB Jarrell Harris, DE Caleb Azubike, and OT Justin Renfrow. Taking their places are LB Brandon Hepburn, DE Lawrence Okoye, and OT Bryan Witzmann. The most notable player from this group is likely Okoye, who is a former British Olympic discus athlete. The defensive end has seen time with the 49ers, Cardinals, and most recently the New York Jets.

The defensive end has seen time with the 49ers, Cardinals, and most recently the New York Jets. While he has not appeared in a game, the Jets were reportedly using the versatile Okoye on the defensive AND offensive lines.

Knowing that, it is no secret why the Dallas Cowboys and Rod Marinelli would give Lawrence Okoye a shot to develop as a pass rusher. The team need is still there, and it is a low risk move that replaces Azubike with Okoye.

Azubike was signed as an UDFA out of Vanderbilt.

If a NFL team is going to get something out of Lawrence Okoye, it is going to be the Dallas Cowboys. Here are some of his impressive Combine numbers and results:
