Offense: 17th

Defense: 16th

Houston recently named veteran Brian Hoyer the starting quarterback over Ryan Mallett. Hoyer threw for over 3,000 yards with the Browns last season.

While he will not have Arian Foster to work with to start the season, third round pick Jaelen Strong and third-year receiver DeAndre Hopkins solidify the Houston passing game.

Defensively, the team looks to be even better after ranking seventh in PPG allowed last season. Getting Jadeveon Clowney through a healthy season is their focus, to anchor a defensive line that also features Vince Wilfork and J.J Watt.

This ferocious front will help a young secondary that includes first-round pick Kevin Johnson.

They say iron sharpens iron, and that just might be the case for the Texans when they face off against the Cowboys for one final tune up – with expectations high for 2015.
