Guard:
I just knew this was going to be the downfall for the team coming into the 2013 season. I've never been a big fan of Mackenzy Bernadeau and I thought Nate Livings should have been cut at the midway point of the 2012 season.
Livings ended up being released and Bernadeau's play improved after Brian Waters went down for the season. Speaking of Brian Waters, in my opinion he won't be we wearing a star on his helmet again.
Now let's go over to left guard.
Ronald Leary stepped up and played well for a guy that has a degenerative knee condition and never played a snap in the NFL. I'd like to see more from Leary this season, but let's keep an eye on that knee. I'm still not completely sold on what we have in Bernadeau and, in my opinion, we can find someone better for less money.
There's one position I didn't put on here, and I'm sure a large number of people would think I'm crazy for not adding it to the team needs. But I think the safety play is going to be a lot better this year because of more experience and an improved pass-rush.
What's your take on all this? Should CB's be included here, or what about Safeties?
