The Mississippi State Bulldogs baseball team captured the first national championship for the school in any sport last night with their series-clinching performance on Wednesday night. The Bulldogs were dominant in game...
The Dallas Cowboys have taken a few risks when on the clock in the second round of the NFL Draft in recent years. Randy Gregory and Jaylon Smith, both important starters on...
Probably the biggest difference between the NFL and the collegiate and high school levels of football is the sense of community that comes with those "school-level" programs. Sure, the Dallas Cowboys do...
For the majority of this Draft Film Review series, I have followed the order which the Cowboys drafted. Meaning, I reviewed the players drafted in the first four rounds before I reviewed those taken in the sixth. In the case of fourth round selection and former Mississippi State Bulldogs Quarterback Dak Prescott, however, I decided to wait until the end. I did this for a few different reasons. First of all, I find him to be possibly the most intriguing of all the Cowboys rookies.
During my musings for Inside The Star I enjoy to have something on Netflix in the background. Typically it's something that I've seen before so that it's not too distracting. Lately I've been re-watching the greatest show in Texas history... Friday Night Lights. It's a Texas Forever disposition that FNL preaches, and such is the case for the Dallas Cowboys who bring glory and pride to the Lone Star State.
The Cowboys have indeed come away from the draft with a quarterback, selecting Dak Prescott from Mississippi State with a late fourth-round pick. Prescott has been linked to the Cowboys for a while now with several offseason workouts and meetings along with time spent together at the Senior Bowl. He will compete with veteran Kellen Moore for the backup spot. Dallas admitted to trying to move up in the late first round to get Paxton Lynch and reportedly tried again today to acquire Connor Cook. Clearly, Dallas wanted to come away from this draft with a new face behind Tony Romo.
