Ronald Leary Trades In His Pads For A Suit

Sometimes being a passionate sports fan isn't all it's cracked up to be. We often times get ourselves worked into a frenzy over the slightest little thing, and this may especially be true for fans that try to soak up anything and everything related to the Dallas Cowboys. How many times have we heard people get extremely upset because Tony Romo was spotted playing golf? The fact that people get so upset because someone is spending their time off playing a relaxing game of golf is kind of ridiculous, if you think about it. But that's the criticism that sometimes comes with being a professional athlete.

Darren McFadden Injured: 3 Surprising Cowboys That Could Benefit

I used to be a huge fan of the popular TV show Grey's Anatomy. I say used to because I no longer am. At its peak the show had some insane drama that sucked me in. This was pre-DVR so I watched this bad boy live. Ultimately I gave up on it, like most of the show's iconic actors coincidentally, because it became too unreal.

Cowboys Mini-Camp: Will Rolando McClain and Ronald Leary Report?

Plenty of players haven't been practicing with the Cowboys over the last few weeks.  Sean Lee, DeMarcus Lawrence, Dez Bryant, and others have been nursing lingering injuries and recovering from offseason procedures. However, two players have been away for other reasons; linebacker Rolando McClain and guard Ronald Leary. Starting today, the Cowboys' practices go from voluntary to mandatory. Per Mike Florio at ProFootballTalk, players who miss this three-day mini-camp are subject to a total fine of $76,580 if they miss the entire camp.

Trade History: Who Was The Last Player The Cowboys Dealt Away?

There's been a lot of talk around the Inside The Star landscape, and Cowboys Twitter, about America's Team potentially shipping off one of their players to a new home in exchange for something nice. The hippest trade hypothetical out there for the world to digest revolves around Ronald Leary. Considering he asked for a trade it seems likely, but I showed you how recent history suggests that a Dallas Cowboy requesting a trade doesn't always go the way he wants. Say the Cowboys trade someone other than Ron Leary. Who would it be then?

6 Cowboys Players That Could Be Traded

This past week, news broke that the Dallas Cowboys turned down trade opportunities during the NFL Draft for a couple of their running backs. Also, former starting left guard, Ronald Leary, decided to skip OTAs and have his agent request a trade from the Cowboys. Players requesting a trade isn't uncommon, but teams aren't going to just give away their players. They want to get as much compensation as possible, but it often comes down to finding a trade partner that is willing to meet your asking price. Trades aren't quite as commonplace in the NFL as they are in the NBA and MLB, but they still happen.

Does Ronald Leary Have Any Leverage?

Ronald Leary, former starting guard for the Dallas Cowboys and current backup is missing the voluntary offseason training and hasn’t been with the Cowboys all spring. He's a restricted free agent who has signed his tender and requested a trade. Understandably so, Leary is a proven starter, who lost his starting job to La’el Collins in the middle of last season, and wants to play somewhere he has a chance to start. Will Leary be playing elsewhere in 2016? While it may be fun to imagine for who or what the Cowboys could trade him, I would err on the side of practicality and say that Leary stays in Dallas.

A Dallas Cowboy “Requests” A Trade: How Did It Go Last Time?

May is a weird time in the NFL. It's beautiful in the sense that hope is as palpable as ever throughout the buildings of all 32 franchises, but it's weird in that players tend to make demands before everything gets seriously rolling on the season. By now you surely know that Dallas Cowboys Offensive Guard Ronald Leary has requested to be traded to a team that doesn't have a Star on its helmet. I'm not a professional football player, shocking I know, but the idea that someone would want to play for anyone but the Cowboys befuddles me. Ronald Leary is entitled to want what he wants, and he wants a new home.

Cowboys-Titans Trade Scenarios for Ron Leary

News broke yesterday that Cowboys offensive guard Ronald Leary, stuck in a backup role in Dallas, has requested a trade. In Tennessee, starting offensive lineman Byron Bell was lost for the season to a severe ankle injury. The two events have naturally brought the Cowboys and Titans into the same conversation. We have no idea if the Titans have any interest in Leary. Not only does he have the well-known degenerative issue in his knees but he may be viewed as a system product.
