Yesterday, the city of Dallas – home to our beloved Dallas Cowboys – became the center of America’s attention for all the wrong reasons. Five Dallas police officers were killed in a shooting that took place during a protest against the recent police violence we have seen on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Cowboys’ players took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the stunning events. Here is a look at some of their thoughts.

As you can see, everybody from veteran players to rookies showed condolences towards the fallen officers. As the city of Dallas starts a long path towards recovery, we can only hope that the Cowboys 2016 season provides a subtle form of distraction.

Collectively, nothing will stand in the way of the great city of Dallas, and nothing will slow down the Dallas Cowboys’ star from shining on for years to come.

Update:

Even more players, past and present, have tweeted about the events in Dallas.
