[VIDEO] Mississippi State Reflects On Cowboys QB Dak Prescott

During my musings for Inside The Star I enjoy to have something on Netflix in the background. Typically it’s something that I’ve seen before so that it’s not too distracting. Lately I’ve been re-watching the greatest show in Texas history… Friday Night Lights. It’s a Texas Forever disposition that FNL preaches, and such is the case for the Dallas Cowboys who bring glory and pride to the Lone Star State.

Someone who will be calling Texas home soon is one of the members of the Dallas Cowboys Rookie Class, Quarterback Dak Prescott.

Before he was drafted in the 4th Round (135th Overall) by the Cowboys this past weekend, Dak did his football-throwing for Mississippi State University. Dak is the most decorated player in MSU History and one of the most successful quarterbacks in the history of the SEC. Before the doors completely close on his time as a Bulldog and open towards his Cowboy future, Mississippi State wanted to bid Dak a proper adieu.

The tweet is alluding to a video that you can watch by clicking right here. It’s an open letter type of production featuring fans, administrators, and school officials all thanking Dak for the wonderful Bulldog memories.

Dallas Cowboys fans need to be excited about Dak Prescott potentially being the heir to Tony Romo. The talk early in the week around the sports world has been that Jerry Jones regrets not getting Paxton Lynch or Connor Cook, but my fellow Staff Writer Sean Martin dropped some knowledge here on Inside The Star as to why Dak is totally worth “settling” for.

Dak will have the opportunity to learn from Tony Romo early on in his career. As you can see from the video tribute, he did way more than Mississippi State ever asked of him and won over the entire Bulldog community in the process. Hopefully he can do the same for Cowboys Nation.

  1. Knowing that he is so beloved makes it even better knowing he is now a Cowboy. Who knows if he is the heir apparent to Romo..the man that will carry the mantel for the years ahead but watching that video tells me who he is and he is a guy I can get behind!

  2. Totally agreed!
