#3. Dez Bryant, WR

You would think by now the Dallas Cowboys would know how to compensate for Dez Bryant’s production when he is out of the lineup due to injuries. But, they simply don’t have another WR on the roster that can command the kind of attention or take over the game like 88.

Opposing defenses have to account for Bryant wherever he lines up on the field, which usually results in double coverage. This creates better opportunities for the other WRs in the passing game and also opens things up in the running game. Bryant makes the entire offense better just by being on the field.

Now, Cole Beasley stepped up his game in 2016 with Bryant out of the lineup, but he’s not a #1 WR and is at his best in the short to intermediate range. Bryant on the other hand commands respect all of the field and is the Cowboys best playmaker in the passing game.

He has a large catching radius and excels at high pointing the ball when making the catch. He is one of the more physical WRs in the entire NFL and the Cowboys offense takes a huge hit anytime he’s not on the field.

  1. I agree, maybe you should write about the 5 most indispensable players on special teams/defense since this batch was all offensive…my 5 on defensive/special teams…the GOAT Jeff Heath, Sean Lee, Dan Bailey, Chris Jones and Byron Jones

  2. I agree especially with the Zeke pick & can’t see the cowboys going anywhere without this guy, he can score from anywhere on the field, a block here, there,& it’s good night Irene.

  3. for me it’s a toss up @ # 3 between Dez,Beasley,& Witten. for last season it would have to have been Beasley.
