When it comes to offseason rumors in the NFL, the smallest and most minute detail can be an indication of something large and league-altering.

A year ago when many members of Cowboys Nation were looking to land then Free Agent Lamar Miller, I became quite knowledgeable on Lamar’s Twitter feed. A like here, a subtweet there, and sometimes you can piece together the ultimate puzzle.

On Tuesday rumors began to swirl that Cardinals QB Carson Palmer had put his house up for sale and withdrawn his children from local schools, those reports have been put out a bit but they sent Cowboys Nation into a bit of a tizzy.

Since the day that the Dak-or-Romo conversation began, people have tried to speculate as to where exactly Tony Romo will be playing football in 2017. Many have said the Denver Broncos, the Houston Texans have been a popular opinion, and if Palmer were out of the conversation then Arizona would seemingly be a legitimate destination.

It is Super Bowl week so the temperatures are a bit hotter around the NFL than they will be five days from Wednesday, but while the Palmer drama in Arizona continues to loom… Tony Romo will be a legitimate option for both Cardinals and Cowboys fans.

Jerry Jones talked recently about how difficult it is to find a Romo solution that works for all parties involved. If Carson Palmer says bon voyage to Arizona, some of Jerry’s work might be done for him. We’ll have to stay tuned.

  1. The Cardinals would be perfect. They have the defense and their young RB is a beast similar to Zeke. Romo would be able to show us what he could have done with Zeke. Sad that whoever gets him will have a far superior QB to ours.smh.

    • I agree on ARI but “far superior to ours?” I’m a Romo fan all day, but I think that’s a stretch. I want Romo here and know it can’t happen with Dak here (hate that). But I believe that what Prescott lacks in experience, Tony makes up for in age.

Anyway, would have preferred Romo not get hurt in 2016 so Dak could ride the bench learning. Was a can of worms having to play him. Stupid worms.

      • Brady is almost 40. Injuries are par for the course in the NFL — how’s your luck. A good balanced team with TR will win the SB next year. TR will haunt the Boys.

  2. Romo not going to no damn Arizona!!! Let’s be real Fellas Romo wanna go to Denver Arizona is a possibility but they gotta release him for him to end up in the NFC. If Romo is released he will go to a team that we will play next year Whether it’s the Broncos or the Cardinals We play both next year So get ready to face Romo next year regardless. Romo will want to stick it to the boys Without no pass rush He will light us up with vengeance

  3. 2004:
Romo was in camp behind starter Quincy Carter, Jerry favorite Drew Henson, and then Parcells signed Vinny Testaverde. Undrafted, long-shot project Romo, was slated to not survive cut downs.

Suddenly Carter failed a drug screen and Parcells cut him. Romo was saved. He went on to make around $120 million in the NFL, instead of going back to Wisconsin to join the real world.

Luckiest man in NFL history… ;^)
