The cuts have already begun for the ahead of the start of training camp next week in Oxnard, California. Taking the hit from a fairly deep group is Rashard Robinson.

Robinson, who was suspended two games by the NFL for violating the league's policy on performance enhancing drugs back in April, was a surprise call-up from the practice squad in 2020.

With injuries devastating the cornerback group at different points of the season, the journeyman cornerback was forced into the action and started three games for the Cowboys.

Without taking the suspension into account, Robinson became somewhat expendable with the re-signing of Jourdan Lewis, the return of Maurice Canady from his COVID-19 opt-out, and the selections of Kelvin Joseph, Nahshon Wright, and Israel Mukuamu in the .

One player that benefits from his release is second-year pro Reggie Robinson (not related), who is making the transition back to corner after spending 2020 at for Mike Nolan's .

More cuts are coming down the road as the Dallas Cowboys will work their way from the 90-man roster to 53. Training camp is nearly here, which means football is right around the corner.
